Workplace Mediation

Workplace Mediation

Workplace disputes can negatively impact morale, productivity, and even your bottom line. Mediation offers a constructive and confidential approach to resolving a wide range of workplace disputes. It is particularly useful in situations involving interpersonal conflicts between employees, disagreements within teams, challenges arising in newly formed teams, communication breakdowns, conflicts related to workplace policies or practices, and issues that, if left unaddressed, could escalate into more serious problems.

We offer impartial and skilled workplace mediation services designed to facilitate open and respectful dialogue, helping employee and teams to identify underlying issues, understand different perspectives, and collaboratively develop mutually acceptable solutions that preserve working relationships and build a more harmonious and productive work environment.

What you can expect:

Our workplace mediation process is designed to be efficient and supportive:

  1. Initial consultation: One of our experienced mediators will connect with you to explain our workplace mediation process in detail and collaboratively determine if mediation is the most suitable approach for your specific situation.
  2. Logistics and scheduling: Following the initial consultation, a contract for our services will be prepared and shared. We will then schedule the pre-mediation meetings and the initial joint mediation session.
  3. Pre-mediation meetings: To ensure everyone feels prepared and to maximize the effectiveness of the joint session, our mediator will meet individually with each party. These confidential conversations offer an opportunity to discuss the conflict in detail, clarify individual perspectives, and provide personalized conflict management coaching. These meetings typically range from one to two hours.
  4. The joint mediation session(s): In a neutral and facilitated setting (either virtual or in person), the mediator will guide the parties in a constructive dialogue to address their concerns and collaboratively explore strategies for resolving the issues at hand. These sessions are typically scheduled for two to three hours, and more complex situations may require additional sessions to reach a comprehensive understanding and agreement.
  5. Reporting: Discussions between the parties and the mediator are confidential. The mediator will work with the parties to draft a mediation summary if one is requested.
